At Blossom we want our children to grow up confident and informed.
Our secondary curriculum focuses on:
- Nurturing positive, respectful, healthy relationships- within families, with friends and colleagues and in committed intimate relationships such as marriage
- Cultivating character strengths, values and positive personal attributes
- Empowering pupils to stay safe, including online by knowing what is acceptable and unacceptable behaviour
developing physical health and mental well-being - Equipping young people with the knowledge, skills and strengths to make safe, informed and healthy choices as they progress through to adult life.
Managing different backgrounds and beliefs is hard for all involved. A lack of understanding or empathy can create a breeding ground for issues. Teachers need support in order to create a caring environment that will allow students to feel comfortable, respected, and safe from judgement whilst learning in a multicultural classroom.
Blossom Curriculum was designed to help teachers educate year 7 – 11 students from all different backgrounds by respecting their differences through a planned curriculum. This leaves students and parents happy by ensuring their children are getting the right education. Whilst being aware of cultures, religions, beliefs and languages that were not previously considered.
